Hi,
I have a Windows NT4 Server acting like a PDC. I've bought two XP Pro workstations and I'm having big troubles connecting them to my domain. It's extremly slow or sometimes it's telling me no domain controller can be found !!! Please help me. Do I have to use NetBeui instead of TCP/IP ? Do I have to install DNS server on my NT4 server ??

What you can do is check to see that NetBUEI is the primary protocol being used by the PDC. I think in NT you can move a protocol up or down which implies whether it is primary or not. If NetBUEI is the primary protocol then you have two options: Use TCPIP as the primary protocol (by default XP will use TCPIP). Or you can install NetBUEI off of the XP CD.
Since XP Pro uses active directory and DNS you can solve this problem by either A. Installing DNS on your 4.0 server or B. Put an entry on the "Host" file on your XP machines with the IP address and fully qualified domain name of the server.
