I have 2 XP(Pro) Laptops. One of them manages to correctly obtain IP address from a Linux DHCP server. The otherone doesn't. I sniffed the packets and can see that XP sends a DISCOVER and is provided an OFFER. XP doesn't seem to be sending a REQUEST message back to the server, instead it reissues a DISCOVER message.Has anyone observed this before? Any way of checking why XP doesn't like the OFFER.Just to dispel any doubts..it works fine with our corporate dhcp server(Windows I guess!!! )
