I've a toshiba system with a xircom 56 kbps combotype card. I was able to install NT in that and configure the networking. After restarting the system only my system name in the workgroup is displayed in the network neighbourhood and i'm able to ping also. But the other systems present in the network are not accessible. Please give me a resolution....

I know some people think I'm silly for harping on this issue, but Microsoft suggests that you reapply the Service Pack after installing any new hardware.
Works for me.
What service pack are you using?
Make sure you review the readme file for the service pack. Section 2.2 "Before you apply the service pack" is crucial. Don't reapply the service pack until you've disabled all non-essential services. And, of course, you gotta reboot after you reapply the service pack.
