Is there a way to look up what workstation a user is logged in on by user login? For example, I know that user1 is logged on, is there a command line or freeware program that tells me where he is logged in by UNC name pipe, etc. (\\Domain\workstation1)?

Thanks for shedding any light on this subject.

If you goto control panel, then click on the server icon, then click on the users button, this will bring up a user sessions window. The user sessions window will tell ya what users are logged into the server, and what computer each user is on.

If you have the Resource Kit you can write a pretty simple little script using WINSDMP to scan the WINS database for the username Registration. Then you can resolve that IP address to a name. If you email me I will send you a copy of this file. I don't read this list often, so if you want the file, please email me.

thanks,
tk
