Wont Load Desktop,Sais DETECT ERROR

Help!! My other computer was working fine yesterday and now all of a sudden it will not load desktop, will not even load windows...it just sits there with a black screen saying "Detect Error" in the bottom left hand corner. Can anyone give me some help or inform me of what this is. Thanks ahead of time.

Gonna have to assume NT4 Workstation because you are not being specific and this is the NT3x-NT4 board. Does it freeze before or after the space bar thing ?
Do you have your Rdisk ? The procedure is to pretend you are gonna reinstall and half way thru the install asks "do you want to repair" then it asks : "Insert your RDISK".
Otherwise you are looking at a parallel reinstall (to save data) or a complete reinstall. Another way would be to install another hard drive as master and install on that, setting up the old drive as slave.
Summary: When I start my computer it doesn't show desktop but its not frozen. Nothing loads at all. When I try to load explorer.exe it wont load(when i try it on alt + ctrl + del). If you need more information...
