Guys,
I made a file copy of a Winnt 4 Workstation hard disk as a backup using my WinXP system (connected as slave to the XP system)and now the WINNT disk put back into the system where it was working fine is into a looping reboot. I even had a repair disk I made of this disk last year and cannot get it to repair this drive. No errors come up...just a loop. All that was done was to copy the data from this disk to a file on my WinXP system.
I read hardware can cause this...ram, fans etc. but haven't checked into this yet.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks,
John

You would need to make a "Cloned Copy" of the hard drive, XP does not have that functionality.

Acronis True Image and Ghost are both capable of undertaking this task
