Alright, as innane as it may be, I've been asigned the task of setting up an WinNT 4.0 workstation with WinXP pro thinclients.

I've spent the last day looking online for an explanation of the viability of this project, and likelyhood of it being accomplished.

So far I have nothing.

Thank you IVO,
Though I appologize for not being clearer.

I do not know if it's possible to arrange a system where using a windows NT workstation 4.0 as the remote server, to which there is attached 3 thin clients which run windows XPpro SP2.

In the case where it is possible, I guess I'm a bit spotty on how that wouldbeimplemented.

Unfortunatly I have no permissions to use anything other than that configuration due to licensing limitations.

I hope this is now a better formulated question.

Sorry to waste your time, I can't further give you help as my know-how of the subject is raw and I used NT/4.0 just as workstation.

From my limited experience I doubt NT/4.0 workstation can act as server for XP clients as it is their ancestor as operating environment.

No workstation can run terminal services. Only servers can which includes NT.

Even though you have thin clients running xp [that would be XPe not full XP pro if a true thin client] the desktop would BE NT and you would be limited to run apps that only ran on NT.

This is a plan built on ignorance and no one can implement that.

Imagine the power of knowing how to internet search
