Web Sites where I can get USB Drivers/software for WindowsNT 4.0.
I know there some available but don't know locations

R U 'sure' there are some around? USB was/is very noticeably absent for NT...
'98/ME/W2K - yes (and even a very basic level for '95 OSR2C). But NT3x/4x ???

I'm sure if MS where inclind they could make drivers available. But since they are keen on pushing the XP product range (NT based)
we're out of luck. It's funny that OS2 can be updated with USB support and NT4 not.

As taken off of the Iomega website, regarding USB Zip 250:
System Requirements:
PC:Pentium® 100 processor or higher with built-in USB controller (Some USB controllers or motherboards may not support all types of USB devices)
Microsoft® Windows® 95 / 98 / Me /NT® 4.0 (Service Pack 5 or higher) /2000 Note: Windows 95 and Window NT 4.0 will not support non-Iomega USB devices or hubs and controllers with more than two USB ports, while Iomega drivers are installed.http://www.iomega.com/zip/products/usb_pwr250_sys.html
I do not know if it really works or not, someone want to try it?

Gael, Check out this company that says they support USB for NT4 OS

Hello again Gael,
I've just found another site that appears to offer USB support on NT4 OS
http://www.jungo.com/dnload.html#USB_NT
Regards
Pete

Dick is half right, Microsoft does not officially support USB through the NT operating system. However, Microsoft is not the only software company that makes drivers. I do not know of any off the top of my head, but I HAVE seen NT machines using USB devices, so I know it is possible using 3rd party software. Also you may want to think about upgrading to Windows 2000 if you require USB support.

Hiya All
I've been trying to get my Handspring Visor Edge's USB cradle to work on NT4 and have only got as far as getting the USB bit working. Check out for the drivers :

The next trick is to get the registry settings in NT from software that somehow detects NT and says that USB is only for 98/Win2k. Any ideas on this one?
Cheers
Paul

Looking on this site, I also concluded that NT support for USB exists out there.
This company is not just kidding around.
Glad Microsoft is not the only one that writes software, supposed that what Microsoft produces really IS software.

>this one?You could remove the checking routine with cracking software. It sounds difficult but it is actually very easy to find and remove an unprotected check. In case you can't get the installation to work at all: If you want you can email me and if I find some free time I could try to crack it for you. :)

i've used a software & it has located my digital sanyo mz1 on usb port. how do i make it work now ??

I have a second hand laptop running NT4.0, with no floppy drive, and I bought a "Disgo" portable USB Flash memory unit so I can transfer my files onto my new (Win 2000) laptop.
It works great in Win2000 but NT4... no way. So NT4 doesn't support USB? That's just sloppy. Anyone got any tips on how I can get this working? It MUST be possible. Don't really want to pay for any more software. I'm skint!
