I have a problem here where my pc will begin booting up NT with no problems, but when it gets to the blue screen, the monitor goes into something like standby mode. NT still sounds like it's continuing to load up in the background though. I've tried a few different monitors, all with the same problems. Any ideas, as it just started doing it today, I haven't touched anything on it (hardware or software). PC is a P4 2400 with 256Mb DDR.

have you tried vga mode? Sounds like a corrupted video card driver or the video card is going out.

When was the last time you defragged NT?
