I run a PII with 128 MB Ram and 4.3 GB HDD. OS is NT Service Pack 5 and Office Suite os Outlook 2000. Recently, I have started getting the foll msgs:

Dr Watson for Windows NT

An application error has occured and an application error log is being generated.
WinWord.exe
Exception access violation (0xc0000005)
Address: 0 x 10011533

The second one is with the same header and then:

Outlook exe
(0 x c0000005)

In both cases, I have to reboot. Pl help

I believe your system will run more smoothly if you install SP6a.

Make sure you read and thoroughly understand the instructions in the readme file before you apply this service pack. Specifically, you want to pay special attention to section 2.2 "Before you apply the service pack"

See:

http://www.microsoft.com/ntserver/nts/downloads/recommended/SP6/allSP6.asp

Best thing you can do is order the service pack on CD. Microsoft is generous with addons and options which accompany the CD, no additional charge.

Try clicking the details tab when this next happens and find exactly what is causing the problem, it will probably be a driver/.dll

When you have this drop me the details.
