We want to use Finite Element code on a PC (2*833MHz, 1Go RAM) under NT. We have noticed that the time of computation increases tremendously when the screensaver starts.
Any clue ?

Are you looking for a technical explanation of why the screensaver does that, or are you saying that it's problematic, and you want to remedy the situation?

Here's someone who might be able to offer a technical explanation:

Is there a reason why you don't want to just disable the screensaver using the "diplay" applet in control panel?

The reason is we want to protect the calculus by locking the screen.

Thanks for your answer.
