Comment:
I am planning to install Windows NT 3.51 on an older pc of mine that currently has Windows 95 on. How can I do this without killing my Windows95b installation? Would it be bad to just run the NT3.51 install? If so, is there some other easy way of making this work without reinstalling Win95?

if you have another hd then clone 95 to a partition on the other hd than go through the install of 351 and create 2nd partition nt will guide you through and do the rest you will end up with a dual boot system

Don't have a second hard drive with enough space. Does this mean I can't just run setup the way the system is now? Also, can NT3.51 run on a FAT16 file system?

nt351 will run on fat 16 and you can install on same partition but it is a risk in my opinion if you decide to install on same partition, then make sure it is a different directory then windows. You can create the directory WINNT35 and it should put a boot loader on your system so you will have a dual boot system

I'm not going to put it on the same partition, just the same hard drive. I didn't know if it would mess up th e95 installation. I guess it won't. That's good, I try it right away!
