Hi there,

We have an NT 4 network and an intranet application running under Internet Explorer 4. I determine the username of the user that is currently working with the intranet application from within our webserver and display information on the site according to which user it is. But for some reason I would like to know what is the corresponding SID. Is there a way to determine the SID (Security Identifier) that as associated with a given NT username from within a VBScript in the browser of a client computer or from within the webserver?

Thanks in advance
Lieven

There's a document in Microsoft Knowledge base for this. I don't remember the number but the keyword for finding it is "NTDOMAIN"
Good Luck.
