Comment:
Is it possible to install windows nt server 4.0 on a computer that doesn't have a floppy disk?
If so how?
Thanks David
(The computer I am installing it on is a laptop so I can't easily attach a floppy disk from my desktop.

if you have a cd and it can boot to it, you shouldn't need a floppy

you have to edit your bios and specify there to have the computer start from the cd, when the computer starts its gonna look for the boot files on the cd rom, there is all types of bios out there nowadays so i cant specify where to go to do that but generally look for boot sequence, this is where you will specify where the system should look for the start up files first, dont mess with anything else in there or you might get unwanted results, but if you happen to change something you should not have, there is always an option to load the default settings in bios, look around your bios, you should find it somewhere there. GOOD LUCK!

Thanks, I didn't realize it was bootable. It thought windows nt was made before bootable cds were ever used.
