I start the Windows NT Server 4 Setup on a formatted hard disk and it makes the three setup disks and starts copying the files from the cd tells me to put in the boot disk, disk 1 then reboots copys some files then asks for disk 2 put that in copied the files but then it asks for disk 3 and i put it in and it just keeps saying
"Please insert the disk labeled Windows NT Server Setup Disk #3 into drive A:"
and when i try setting it up in Windows 98 it says:
"Setup was unable to install Windows NT Boot Loader Ensure that your C: drive is formatted and theat the drive is not damaged Setup cannot continue"
i was able to install it from Windows 98 once before but now it just keeps saying the above..

I'll bet you didn't get a full copy of disk3. Try to copy the setup disks again. then do the install over again. I don't think it's possible to install any part of NT from win98.
When you create the disks are you using the command: Winnt /ox?

This is pretty obvious but make sure that you've formatted the HD with FAT16 and not 32. If you've got an OS on your computer and you're cd drive works then this should be a no brainer install. You don't need any of those disks go to a command prompt and change directories to the i386 file and type winnt /b. Everything should be good to go then!

Sorry, talk about a no-brainer. I should have said 'Put your Nt 4 disk in the cd/rom drive then change directories to the i386 file, then type winnt /b. Pretty crucial step putting that cd in!
