Dear
The first thing you see that all the servers are not on the same machine. Your FIle server and DHCP may be on one machine , rest take them onto another machine and cofigure the clients to access those servers accordingly.
If possible, check for viruses and cure them, will perform better.
ALso see that the anti-virus programs are not memory resident , may slow down the network.

Glad to hear you are defragging. That is usually the death of a server is not done.

Your hardware looks OK. You don't mention having a BDC. A BDC assumes some of the authenication load thereby speeding up logons and resource access.

The other area to look at is your topology. I assume you have a 10/100 switch and your server is connected to it at 100mb? What other switches/hubs do you have connected?

Everybody thanks a lot for your help.

But the interesting thing for me -
That network work about 8 years at the same configuration and everything was fine.
Mounth ago the HASP service die and server began to halt and slow down.
I reinstall WinNT like it was before...
But it's again slow.

About solving...
Antivirus - AVP, i install it scan all drives and uninstall everything fine.

About physical,hardware...
I connect 2 PC one by another (WinNT,98)
by croosover...nothing help...try another 100% good Network cards...the same.

Defraged by DiskKeeper.

DHCP,WINS and BDS
Hmmm may be i'am wrong but the system monitor display that everything more than fine with al that services.
Proccesor,Memory etc everything fine

BDC - yeee a good way, but director thing it's a spending money for nothing...

Any more ideas?

Thanks for help

Forget.

The Switchs are: 2 3com office connectors 16 and 24 ports.
They were tested while installing more than fine.
Network cards ONLY 3com.
Network - all clients and servers 100mb full duplex mode.

"the HASP service die " What do you mean? I never heard of any hasp service.

Everything is pointing to a problem with the server. Look at event viewer for clues to hardware or software problems. Reinstall service pack 6a. It is amazing how many things get fixed by reappling a service pack. Look at the port stats on the switch for the server nic card. Be on the lookout for crc or frame errors. That can indicate autonegociation issues or cabling problems.

How much memory in the server and processor? Hard drive configuration?
