Comment:

I have every day two Event Id 2006 "The server received an incorretly formatted question from \\Server", in a Windows NT Server 4 SP6, but the incorrectly formatted question comes from a Windows 2000 Server every night at the same hour (one at 10 PM and 20 minutes later, the other one), then the Windows NT hangs on and I have to restart it.

Any ideas???

I think that could be the SAM database, because the Windows 2000 is the "PDC", and the Windows NT is a Stand alone Server.

I have the domain in mixed mode because I have a Windows 2000 Server, a Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows XP Pro and some Windows 98.

Thanks.

well, hate to mention the obvious, but if 2000 is the pdc, could it be that its set to send out some kind of scheduled query?do u have any kind of scheduling set on the 2000 server?if so you might want to check its event log?

Yesssss!!
I make daily backups from the 2000 server, I disable this scheduling and my NT Server didn't hangs on.
But, why can't the 2000 server make queries on the NT Server???

Thanks a lot.
