Windows 3.1 skin for NT 4.0

I 'think' the w31x 'shell' will work. Try FILEMAN.exe [?]

progman and winfile do indeed come with Windows NT 4, but work differently to the DOS versions.

progman stores its groups in registry! Also, fileman supports long file names.

You can set progman as the shell on a per-user basis (ie have different users with different shells), this allows you to try different shells.

Now shell=c:\winnt\system32\sol.exe
