Comment:

I have several applications that will not run, and the displayed error is "The Win16 Subsystem was unable to enter Protected Mode, DOSX.exe must be in you AUTOEXEC.NT and present in your PATH." DOSX.exe is in my AUTOEXEC.NT file and present in my path. When I try to run DOSX in the DOS command window, I get an error "Invalid handle C:\temp\scs##.tmp", where ## is a hex number.
I believe that these files were in the temp directory, but were deleted. What are they and how can recreate them?
