I have a linux web server using apache and a win nt database server using mySQL can they communicate?
Please help.

Your message is a bit vague - you haven't really explained how you want them to communicate or what you are trying to achieve.

Are you just interested in your NT server communicating with your Apache server as a pure and simple upstream proxy?

On your windows NT machine include the IP address and Port (80 default) in yor proxy server option. in internet explorer, click tool, click internet options. go to connections tab, LAN settings, use a proxy server. On your linux box configure apache.
