Comment:
When I installed NT 4.0 for dual processor, everything went smoothly. But after finish setup, I got an error saying that "The security subsystem could not be initialized".
So I tried a couple of times of fresh installation but got the same. What should I do?
What happens if you install with single processor. If it goes in OK then do the NT ad in processor routine?

After an NT re-install, I am getting the exact same message ("The security subsystem could not be initialized"). Did the re-install because I kept getting the message that the NToskrnl.exe file was either missing or corrupted. I installed a second copy which allows getting into the drive. Done virus and surface scans. All seems fine. Also, this is a single processor machine! Suggestions/solutions?
