Comment: Are there any means in nt4 server to view which user opened certain file on the server disk? Server Manager doesn't solve this problem becouse when there're a lot of opened files it's very difficult to find necessary file in a huge list. In case if there're no such means or third party utilities does anybody know which of win32 API functions I have to use to wrote this utility by myself. Thank you.

Reply: (edit)Just use the Audit function on that server. Go to User Manager, Policies, Audit. Set On "Audit these events" and choose "File and object access" (and whatever else you might want) MP
