I'm having a hard time getting my Diamond PCI modem to be detected in NT and the one of the errors in the event viewer says the source is WinAcPci. What is it and what does it do ? Alsoif anyone has any suggestions on the modem install, here's the error I get....10/13/99 7:48:39 PM WinAcPci Error None 1 N/A ANIMATOR The driver could not find a modem board on the PCI bus for this system

it is a piece of software which creates a virtual com port to access your pci modem, and from the error message your getting, it looks like it can't see the modem board. try installing sp5 first and then goto add/remove programs, remove the diamond modem software, restart and reinstall the modem software. also try the board in a different slot, and if it's in somthing like a compaq server, remember to check the bios to see if the board needs detected in there first.
