I'm running Windows NT Server. every day for the last few weeks W3SVC and MSFTPSVC have been generating log errors - but I have no idea why. Any place I can begin looking to remedy this? Thanks.

Errors reported in the System log. Always alternating W3SVC, then MSFTPSVC, several times a day - usually after midnight, but not exclusively. With each, the error reads: "The service could not bind instance 2", (or 9, in the case of W3SVC - these are the only two numbers ever given)"the data is the error code." THis is a windows NT box, running a webserver.
Folks; I believe it is a services binding issue! Go to "Services" tab in "network neighbourhood" properties. 1: Remove "netbios interface" service. 2: Restart the machine. 3: Go back to services tab and ADD the same(netbios interface)again, You will be prompted to insert NT4 cd, do so 4: Restart the machine again.
It should solve the problem if not try adding the latest Service Pack.
Additional information could be obtained from Microsoft KB or iisfaq.com or alltheweb.com ..
thanks
