A friend got a new computer with a yamaha OPL3 sound card. It worked well, until we used Yamaha's sound player. Now it seems if everything is muted. The CD Player plays fine, but desktop sounds, games- basically all wave files are mutes. Volume control panel is normal. There must be another place to control this. Please Help Me!!

Check speaker cords If they're plugged in properly. There should be something wrong with either the drivers or the physical connections. You can even try opening the case to make sure that the card isn't loose.

My sound just cut off and my volume icon is red circled and indicates sound muted.I have tried a number of ways to return the sound but nothing has worked thus far. Can you please help me?
Summary: Well I can't even guess as to your dragon problem, but it sounds like your CD volume has simply ben turned down or muted. Just double click on the speaker icon next to the clock to find out if that's...
Summary: Make sure you look at the obvious stuff: do you have a sound card/speakers? is your volume muted/turned down? Check to see that your sound card is installed properly - are you using NT drivers?...
