Virus,Backdoor.optix!

Hy guys,
My computer had been infected by BACKDOOR.OPTIX . I read about that is necessary delete "wmmiexe.exe" fromWINNT or delete the file "Winstart.bat" but I have a problem:
-I can't delete "wmmiexe.exe" ,it tells me that it could be in use;
-windows explorer don't find" Winstart.bat"

I have windows "2000" and a firewall installed!
So What Can I do? HElp!!

If you have a Fat partition, boot wit a bootdisk in dos mode and delete the file .
Reboot

Make sure you have a good virusscanne and do an update of defenition files at least once a week.


Obtain bootdisk at www.bootdisk.com

Hi Prima Donna,
before to read yr message, I put the file Wmmiexe.exe" in quarantine with Norton and after I delete it ...Do think is it ok ,now?

Do u know how can I check if this file have modified smthing in my computer?
