We have six server here where I work, 4 local and two remote. On one of the remote servers when I go into Network Neighborhood and click on that on that server, and the right click on one of the "shared" folders and view properties to look at the security settings the Security tab does not show, just the general tab.

I am on a Win95 PC with Server tools installed and I am able to view the security settings on the other servers but not on this one.

Any ideas...

This remote computer's shares must be on a FAT partition rather than NTFS

I think you guys are right. I will have to check. The remote server was set up by someone else so it may be FAT.

Thanks for the advice....

You could use a utility off the Resource Kit called SRVINFO.exe. Use

SRVINFO -od \\computername

to see the hard disk configs.

However, you'll need admin rights on the machine your querying (and if in another domain, a trust in place)
