My boyfriend owns this computer and he is classified as the Administrator. The problem I am having is, I am unable to download any programs to the computer under my profile. I'm just wondering, other than asking him, is there a way to fix this? Do I or can I have the ability to download programs? Can he change something in the "Admin. profile" to allow me to download?
PS I also do not have access to the same programs as he does, can this also be fixed?

Download:
Normally you have the rights to download programms with a user profile.
Seems that your boyfriend modified the policies.
Installing programms is an other thing.Using programms:
He can give you the rights to use them.uli

Are you sure you're in the right Forum. There is no Windows NT Home Operating System. Are you sure it's not Windows XP Home with SP2?
If it's XP, and your boyfriend "controls" the computer as Admin, you can ask him to elevate your account type. If he won't, then I'd suggest you purchase your own computer.

Oh dear, you are right, it is Windows XP... I didn't even catch that.Sorry.
Thank you for the help. I want to let you know I did end up downloading a game to my profile and made the whole computer act really slow and freeze alot. *Maybe that's why he wouldn't let me do it before.* It was a big mess and he had to go in and clean it all up. Now he has to review everything, but that is definitely fine with me!
