Help!!! After upgrading my computer to Windows 2000, I lost the ability to use my usb ports. I get a "Unsupported VIA USB Universal Controller Host" message in the device manager menu. WHat can I do to fix this problem? I have several devices that only connect via usb ports. This is extremely frustrating.

Well, you could always post this in the Windows 2000 forum instead of the NT one :), Ive never used 2000 before.
USB is not supported on Windows NT so I was expecting to give an easy answer.
However that particular message seems to refer to your motherboard as the VIA USB UCH is an onboard device which is loaded as part of the motherboard resources (ie if you installed it on Windows 98 you will see it added during the 98 setup as part of the hardware setup)
I suspect you need to go to the VIA website and look for driver updates for your particular motherboard (look for windows 2k updates). 100% certain its that.

Win2000 certainly does have support for USB but as the previous reply said it might be that you need to get specific drivers from the mobo website. Have you applied service packs 1 & 2 which did fix a load of bugs? You could also try the windowsupdate option in IE and see if it identifies any new drivers.
