Subject: USB support on Windows NT

Comment: Hi, Does Windows NT Server 4.0 support USB? I have heard it supports USB after installing Service Pack 6 or 6A but I am not able to detect USB port or USB devices after doing so. Help needed very urgently. Yogesh

Reply: (edit)From all that I've heard on previous posts, USB will never be supported by NT 4.0 Try searching for 'NT USB' and you should find an answer. -gb

Reply: (edit)Yogesh, It seems there are two solutions I have found on the internet but I am affraid to try them. YOu can purchase an adaptor -- like the ssu-100D25 from Quatech. It has a male D25 serial port -- which works in the back of my desktop as my desktop has a female port. HOwever, a techie friend of mine says this will lead to very slow downloads. Secondly, a company called BSquare sells a software called "USB for Windows NT 4.0" Again I haven't tried either of these but they may work. If anyone knows, please let us know. I am trying to get my new Sony Clie to work with my Windows NT software.
