I have win nt 4.0 with service pack 6.0a, I cant get my scanner to be found because its usb. What do I do? thanx in advance.

1. NT4.0 does not support USB !!!!!!!!!!
2. THere are utilities that claime that they can make it happen but I never ever have read a comment from someone who have worked with such a tool with succes.Butttttttttt I am open minded so if there is anyone out there with a fine working NT4.0 with USB let us know.

I'm nobody, but if you're someone, you probably have a couple hundred dollars to gamble on some software which *might* work.
Follow this link:

...but you've been (correctly and politely)forwarned by Robert Schut that no one has tried it and returned to endorse it.
If you do try it, you'll be our guinea pig, and you'll be putting your system at risk for the good of no one but us curious nobodies.
"Cluck, cluck, cluck, cluck."
On the other hand, if you don't try it, you'll have a hard time defending your reputation as someone.

I dont purchase software online, I may be someone, but I like to try experimental (beta) software before I pay for it....
But I will look for a product thats downloadable....(if any) I will post the results.....thanx for your support on this...

i have an working USB-Driver for NT, but only for Keyboard, Mouse, Printer and Pocket-PC cradle(i use an legacefree IPAQ from COMPAQ with this driver and it works fine. It comes from Bluewater Systems (a part of BSqare...)(www.bsquare.com) single user price 79$.

Thank you, Alfaman.
You are the first I've seen who has any experience to offer with the bsquare software.
So am I correct in undertanding that it won't work with a scanner or digital camera?
And what do you think of the documentation that comes with the software?

I used an Iomega USB 250 zip drive with a machine running on NT SP5 for the past 3 years with no problems whatsoever. However, I just recently got a new machine with NT SP6 and the usb driver will not load. Go figure. Iomega says it should work.

Found this at www.jungo.com
April 3rd, 2001 (Jungo, Israel): - Jungo has released WinDriver beta version 5.10, supporting USB under Windows NT.
