USB external CDRW drive on NT??

Hi all, my question has been frustrating me for a while: is there any way I can use my Acer external CDRW drive with my NT box even though NT 4 Workstation does not support USB?
I find it unbelievable that there is no USB support in this OS. Now I have an external CRDW drive that can only be connected by USB and a PC that does not support the USB ports it has. Is there a workaround this problem?

The only way the CDRW will work on NT40 if the manufactor has written drivers for it under NT40. like some zip drives use usb under NT40 because the manufactor has written drivers for it
If they have not use windows 98se,ME windows2000.windows xp for usb support

Officialy and unofficially there is no way to patch this according to MS. They want you to buy the newer OS's. Certain companies out there make drivers you can buy that make USB work under NT4, but they cost a lot.
