Subject: Urgent Help! SCSI HDDOS: NT4CPU/Ram: ? |
Comment: Hi, I have a Dell PE1300 server running Win NT4. 3 SCSI HDD, the first 2 are mirrored and the 3rd is just patitioned. The 3rd HDD failed and we replaced it with an exact model, Quantum Atlas V 9.1GB(U160). When we boot the server, the SCSI Bios picks up the HDD and loads it, however when we get to the OS, WinNT doesn't see it. Nothing has changed on the server. There shouldn't be any driver issue, as the HDD is exactly the same. Does anybody have any ideas. Thanks in advance Phyto

Reply: (edit)Kurt, now how would you partition without using Disk Admin. ? My NT4 DA does create/delete/format/changeletter/... How do you do it ? It sounds like Phyto has some kinda weird problem ... BIOS sees it ... someone suggested reinstalling sp6a/whatever.. to fix hardware recognition.
