Hello,
I am having an error message on the start up with a computer that have a mirror image harddrives on it. It takes me to the blue screen, scans through the hardrives and it comes back with an error message saying:"STOP C000021A Unknown hard error. Set recovering in control panel or crash debug system start option" Please explain, and help to solve if you can. Thank you.

Does the pc that you are trying to put the image on have the exact same hardware as the pc you made the image from?

Ad, you assumed she did something like Ghosted her system to a hard drive in a new computer, but it sounds to me like she has a mirror set in her computer, and one of the drives might be going bad.
It may be the primary disk. Can you continue bootup into the OS? Do you know which disk is the mirrored too drive, and have you tried removing it?
