Depends on how you have it installed.

If its all in one partition (Primary) and is ntfs, then just run Fdisk off a '9x/DOS boot disk and delete the 'non-DOS' partition; then run the command:

sys c:

and press Enter. This replaces the NT mbr with the DOS/'9x variety.

As you're intending '98 use a 98 boot-disk?

Then still using Fdisk, reconfigure drive for '98?

Another way, presuming you have the NT CD; run setup (via CD boot/3 floppies - whichever) and use the create/delete partitions option to delete all partitions - regardless of what/where they are. Then boot with the '98 boot-disk, run the " sys c: " command (as outlined above); then reconfigure drive for '98.

If you have ntfs in an Extended partition space you cannot delete it using Fdisk; Fdisk will only remove/delete ntfs from Primary area. The second route (setup\create/delete etc) allows you to delete ntfs (and any other partition too) wherever it is.

Fdisk tutorial:

http://www.compguystechweb.com/index.html

ntfs = non-DOS partition (in Fdisk options).

Back-up/save any data etc. first.

If you need more input, post back with HD details (partitions/formats).
