Hi All,

I'm trying to run ipconfig to release an IP address on a PC. I'm running ipconfig /release from a command prompt and am getting the following:

"The name specified is not recognisable as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

Any ideas or workarounds for this??

Cheers in advance.

Ok instead of running it from the command prompt I've just put the command in the Open field in Start -> Run

Strange though that it didnt recognise the command.

at a cmd prompt you don't have a path to system32. Edit your environmental varibles to include it.

...or change to your system32 directory first
