Is there a way to force NT and Win98 to release IP address after logging off? I have users who change from lan to remote envireonment and retain their bindings to nic cards. I want to ensure that on each logoff their IP address is released.

How about if you just change the lease period to 1 day?

You can make a shortcut for Ipconfig/release
and put it in your startup

These users have multiple adapters, lan, modem, dock station. I want this to be seamless to the user. without any intervention on their behalf. Is there a way to run ipconfig /release on logoff?

thanks

in the startup it would be seamless, (no input from them) but at the beginning of their session, not the end.
