I've tried to add a printer/s/ to an older PC that has Windows NT as the O/S. I have downloaded the proper drivers for the specific printer/s/ but none will work. They either stop installing/loading or I receive and error message indicating that it is not the proper driver for the NT system.
Are there specific drivers for the NT O/S?, if so I have not found them at the obvious places. Please asvise.

It will have to be a Parallel Port Printer and yes NT4 specific drivers would seem a pre-requisite. Remember that NT4 is no longer supported and is 10 years old now!

What make/model of printer are you attempting to add? Is it local or a network printer?

I tried two different printers, 1. HP DeskJet 3650. 2. Canon BubbleJet BJC1000. Do they have to be specifically for Windows NT?

HP Deskjet 3650's are USB. Good luck getting that to work, no USB support on NT4 (excluding custom drivers)

The Canon BJC 1000 has an NT4 Driver

The driver package has a full readme for install details, remember NT4 is not plug'n'play so has to be informed that a driver is required.

FYI if you want NT4 USB support see:
