Unable to connect

OS: Mac 10.2.6
CPU/Ram: SD RAM 768MB
Comment:

When a print job is sent from Mac to a plotter PC which is shared via a Win NT machine, we emcounter "Unable to connect" error message. Can someone advise?

How is the Mac trying to communicate with the NT machine? Using AppleTalk or TCP/IP or what?
