hi...
i can not install my vga card(Trident tgui9440 pci) on my os NT server 4.0 because i don't have the driver .

try drivers.com or manufactures site. use the vga driver standard only in driver list untill you can get the regular driver, you might want to see if the video card is in microsofts CHL or "compatible hardware list on microsofts site.

I have a driver for some Trident 9440. It's a beta version, the only I was able to find. It might be a different version than yours, but you can try. But I'm afraid you woun't be so glad with that VGA. I'm not using it any more. One of my computers didn't sometime want to boot with it, the second one systematicaly asked me to push the reset several times. I couldn't set the same graphic resolutions as with a S3 having the same amount of mamory (2MB). I only had 256 colours with 1024*768. S3 offers 32768 or maybe even 65536, I don't remember.
If you don't find anything, mail me and I'll look for it.

PS: The manufacturers site (Trident) will tell you, that they didn't fabricate your Trident 9440 because they only produce the chip. So Trident doesn't provide any driver and sugest rather to ask your OEM guy. At least it was this way when I looked. I was newer able to find out who produced the scrap I have. I bought it in a flea market.
