We have a high end plotter and are trying to track/bill useage- pages, bytes, etc. Does the Audit under printer properties security do this?

If you turn the auditing on it will tell you (in event viewer) who printer, what, when , how many pages. If you plot alot realize that this could become a very large log. Make sure that you adjust your file size correctly. I also suggest that you want to keep up with this log regularily. We track printing and it can become an extremely daunting task.

Thanks for the response. I set up auditing, but all I get are event 560 and 562's which just say the printer or queue object was accessed. Also, it looks like you have to turn on auditing on all object access, so any time anyone opens a file I get events.
