Comment:
I was at a client site earlier. Their NT 4.0 with SP6 server was infected by "Hacktool.LsassSba" virus. Although Symantec Anti-Virus quarantined the virus successfully, none of the Windows 98 clients could login to the domain. The following error message was received although the correct username and password were entered.

"The domain password you supplied is not correct, or access to your logon server has been denied."

I will run the Windows Update tomorrow to make sure all Microsoft security patches for this NT 4.0 server are installed.

Any other idea? Thank you in advance.

Perhaps you need to remove the computer accounts and re-add them to the Domain.

Couple things...Have you checked Wins and DNS? Can any other clients authenticate?

Other ideas: Perhaps the SIDS are now different.
