Hello,
Here is my problem:
I log into a system using the local Admin account, and I can run the schedule task wizard (not atsvc.exe, but mstask.exe) - if I log in as a regular user without local admin access, I cannot run the schedule task wizard - it just freezes.
Any ideas? I know with the AT utility, you needed local admin access to use it, but I don't believe that is the case with the new task scheduler - in fact, we do have a user without local admin access or even power user access that can run the schedule task wizard.
I'm stumped, any ideas?
Winnt 4.0 SP6, by the way.

I have seen similar behaviour but it was with Excel.A user could not open an excel file with explorer, but could if she was using the file menu, open in excel.append to be a profile corruption or something, has all other local users could open Xls file with no problems at all.create another local user and try to run the schedule task wizard with that account.if the problem is with the profile, you will be able to run it.
Cheers!
Garreth.

Task Scheduler runs as a system service and requires administrator priviledge to run at the designated time.(or the ability to logon as a service or similar)
I run several tasks automatically on NT4 workstations, but set then up as a domain administrator. They run in the background and the workstation users will not see them.If you set them up using the administrator account of the local machine you will not necessarily have access to any domain shares or servers and so they stall.
