My system log file was full, upon checking I found out that 1 log with the same message has been generated every minute for the past 1 week. The event ID is 100, Source is W3SVC, Type is Warning and the message is: The server was unable to logon the widows NT account 'IUSR_HPSERVER' due to the following error: Logon failure: unknown username or bad password. The data is the error data.

does anyone knows what does that mean?

Thank you.

My server is running on NT4. And HPSERVER is actually the name of that server.

It means that you have moved the location of the webserver log files and it can't find it anymore or more likely the permissions have changed on the folder where the log files are to not include full control for the SYSTEM.
