Does anyone know how I can tell which dll is missing or corrupt. I get these messages on a couple of programs that I try to install. I get them as soon as I double click the setup program. Is there anyway to tell which dll is being called so I can get another dll??? I have spent two days looking for answers and programs that might help. At wits end here.

Does the error message give you the name of the DLL that is missing? If so, do a find file, and copy the DLL to the \winnt\system32 directory. You can also try re-installing the program that you are getting the error messages in. You can also download Driver Detective from www.drivershq.com, which will tell you the version of all your DLL's.

Jim- I would try reinstalling NT. You are obviously missing a system file, and if it doesn't tell you which one, go for a reinstall.

Try replacing all the following files with fresh copies: VER.DLL and DDEML.DLL.
That took care of my problem, maybe it will take care of yours.
