Comment:
Encountered Boot Error on HP Vectra.
Error 0000 Says: The power-on self test has detected a failure limited to the board internal functions. Skipping the error message and continuing may result in unstable behavior, or a system hang during the boot process.
Tried using Image Creation and Recovery CD-ROM but was unsuccessful. What to do? Please advice.

That is a POST error, nothing to do with the operating system so don't waste your time on reloading the OS. You are probably getting a message about the error as you power on, if you see it flash past then depending on your BIOS manafacturer you can usually hit a key to freeze the screen & see it. Go to HP site and check there, it might be worth upgrading the BIOS.
