PLEASE NOTE: this problem is not caused by the mouse.
Hello all. I'm having a problem with system "freeze" in windows NT 4.0 SP6a.
The problem only seems to occur while browsing the web. And only on certain pages. An example page that crashes my system is GRC.COM.The crash is strange because, what happens is that there is no blue screen error. The system just freezes (no keyboard response -- no ctrl-alt-del functionality). But, the mouse still moves (until you overflow the ring buffer and you get a beep and then the system is completely gone and you must reboot).
I am wondering if anyone could please offer some possible solutions.
I have tried the following:
- increasing mouse input buffer in registry
- increase dram latency in bios
- UNassign irq for vga in biosTHANKS!
PLEASE NOTE: This problem is not caused by the mouse. When reponding please explain the reasoning behind your advice! Thanks!!

Had similars probs on latops with NT4 and SP6a, found out a temp solution to bring screen back was to eject the PCMCIA card.... not a resultion i know, but may b worth you looking at ure network settings to ensure they r correct as could b a TCP/IP issue. C Technet re. TCP/IP SP6a freezing !
