Comment:

I have previously posted under "Installing 98". I have been through several steps in trying to get NT off and 98 on, and now I can't do either. I was in the middle of running the recovery Cd (NT) when the power got interupted and now all I have is a mess. I startup to Win 95, but there is nothing there; when I try to use the recovery CD now I get the message that the CD doesn't support my language (English) and then I get an A: prompt. I seem to be stuck. I can't boot to install the 98 program because it says I need the update CD install of the full version. CAN THIS SYSTEM BE SAVED?????? HELP

It's a Compaq Armada M700, no floppy, only a CD drive that isn't recognized right now.

1. Insert a dos disk and fdisk it. If fdisk can't find a disk the go to plan number 2.

2. Call 1-800-okcompaq, the support is 24x7x365 and free.

She already said she doesn't have a floppy drive on this system so the DOS disk doesn't apply. Dianne, see the responses to your later entry for your alternatives.

Sorry borelli33, I did not realise that I was suppose to read diannes's mind that she doesn't have a floppy drive as she mentions in her posting done 9.5 hours after this one.
