Can somebodyhelp me with the following problem. I want to create windows NT4.0 server cd with service pack 6a fixed into the cd. I have searched all over the internet but couldn't find any whitepaper or installation guide to fix this. Does somebody know an issue to resolve this problem. Kind regards, Niels Ligtvoet

Never heard of slipstreaming in NT4. Closest you can get is do your configuration on a PC and create a image on a CD-ROM.

I read about it at www.thetechguide.com and apparently it's not possible because only win2k supports slipstreaming.

As I posted earlier--it works in NT and I've done it. Create an "Image" file, then put your s/p6a CD in your CD Rom; copy the i386 folder on s/6a to the i386 folder in your Image. It will ask if you want to replace like folders, answer "yes to all". Now burn a new CD of this updated "Image" and you have a slipstreamed CD. Remember that you can't uninstall service pack 6a ever!

I'd better explain the first "Image" file. This is NOT something that's in your operating system! This is created directly from your NT 4.0 workstation CD by copying to the hard drive. Try not doing this image on your "C" drive. I've never tried making this final slipstreamed CD "bootable"; I still use the boot floppies since I'm all SCSI and need to hit F6 for adaptec drivers.
