SP6a high or low encryption?

Two part question:
1) If I'm creating a new BDC to a (very old PDC) with SP4, Can I load sp6a on the new one and synchronize them - or would the difference in SP versions cause trouble? (I'm planning on promoting the new one to PDC after the Synchronization).
2) How do I decide which to use - the high encryption version of the service pack, or the low?
Thanks for any advice!

No problem putting SP6 over the SP4...SP6 is an "upgrade"...
Ditto on th sync...
40 bit or 128 bit...Are you doing any financial transactions?...if so, then use high encrypt...otherwise low is fine...
